My name is Ander Negrazis RP MEd (they/them). I am an autistic, queer & trans trauma psychotherapist with a background in community arts, disability arts, anti-oppression and anti-poverty organizing.

Educational Background and Credentials

I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). I completed my Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology at the Ontario Institute For Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, where I focused my research, writing, and practice on developing depathologizing, queer and trans centered, disability and neurodivergent-centered therapeutic modalities and theoretical frameworks.

I hold an Hon. BA in Arts Informed Research and Critical Pedagogy from York University, where I studied visual arts, critical pedagogy, critical theory and feminist research methodologies. I had the privilege of drawing together my interests in social movement history, activist research, critical theory, community arts, disability arts, and arts-informed research to design a visual narrative tool to ‘teach’ theory & methodology, ‘practice’ analysis and ‘generate’ new knowledge about gender, sexuality, relationships, learning & communication and consciousness.

My current research interests include autistic mental health; the interdependent histories of autistic conversion “therapy” and gender & sexual conversion “therapy”; autistic-led knowledge and cultural production; the history and social organization of neurodisablism; the regulation of gender and sexuality; the role of neoliberalism, capitalism, and colonialism in the development of the helping professions; social, political consciousness and ethical reasoning; activist research methods; critical pedagogy; arts-informed research; disability arts.
